Tears and Angst

The overwrought, hyper-dramatic meltdown on the left in the wake of Donald Trump’s victory has been so unrelentingly entertaining that just when you think it can’t get any better this gem shows up:
U.S. EPA employees were in tears. Worried Energy Department staffers were offered counseling. Some federal employees were so depressed, they took time off. Others might retire early.
And some employees are in downright panic mode in the aftermath of Donald Trump’s victory.
“People are upset. Some people took the day off because they were depressed,” said John O’Grady, president of American Federation of Government Employees Council 238, a union that represents thousands of EPA employees. After Election Day, “people were crying,” added O’Grady, who works in EPA’s Region 5 office in Chicago. “They were recommending that people take sick leave and go home.”
EPA employees stand to see some of the most drastic changes under the Trump administration, and they may be taking things a bit harder than other government workers.
The president-elect has vowed to repeal some of the rules they’ve toiled on for the last eight years during the Obama administration, including the Clean Power Plan rule to cut power plants’ greenhouse gas emissions.
While the world was literally burning around him, Obama kept his focus on keeping climate change hysteria at a fever pitch, most probably because he’s seen what it did for Al Gore’s bank account in the last 16 years. In order to pass out favors that he can cash in once he leaves office, he’s been expanding the reach and power of the EPA. It is now a regulatory, power hungry nightmare.

The one sector that didn’t experience sluggish growth the last eight years was the federal behemoth.  Obama has created a new, borderline wealthy class of government workers on the backs of the American taxpayers. It’s practically the sole reason that Virginia, despite still having a purplish appearance, is actually a blue state now.

Al Sharpton Takes Part-time Job to Help Pay Off Taxes

After an advisory meeting with the President and prominent members of the race-baiting community after the recent Grand Jury decisions, Al Sharpton will tune up his bullhorn and lead a march for justice Sharpton style, pass the hat and work off some of the 4.5 million in taxes he has managed to weasel out of while his buddy has sat in the White House.

The Hill
"Al Sharpton’s National Action Network is organizing the National March Against Police Violence for Saturday, Dec. 13. His action comes, after separate grand juries declined to indict white officers in the deaths of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., and Eric Garner in New York City.
A flyer on the group’s website says Sharpton will be joined by the families of Garner, Brown, and Akai Gurley, a black man accidentally killed by a New York police officer in November. He described the march as promoting “jobs and justice,” and likened it to the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, the famous 1963 march that culminated in Martin Luther King’s “I have a Dream" speech.
“Marches and boycotts led to the ’64 Civil Rights Act, the ’65 Voting Rights Act,” Sharpton said, adding that he hopes next week’s march will inspire federal action."
Maybe Rev Al should consider doing a march for respect of law and authority and the civil rights of law abiding people of America that his constituency of thugs fail to recognize, and causes mistrust of black males he so seems needs defending. But then again, guess there's no money to be made there.

More of Your Tax Money at Work

Ohio State University used a $387,000 National Institutes of Health grant to study the benefits of Swedish massages on rabbits.
No, this is not a joke.
This absurdly stupid waste of taxpayer dollars was brought to light by Republican Sen. Tom Coburn’s most recent “Wastebook” edition, where he and his staff every year chronicle the unethical and asinine ways in which our government blows taxpayers’ hard-earned cash.
No. 2 on the list is titled “Swedish Massages for Rascally Rabbits.”
“In this I will not compromise,” notes Chicago Tribune columnist John Kass. “There is nothing more stupid in the history of wasteful federal spending than giving my money — and yours — so rabbits can get a Swedish foot massage.”
Coburn, in an interview with Kass, agrees.
“Look, I understand what the science is behind that,” Coburn said. “We all know that if you massage a muscle, you get rid of the lactic acid out of it. It’s stuff we already know.”
