Boy Scouts Greenlight Gay Scout Leaders

Giving a gay man charge of groups of impressionable young boys is like making a horny middle-aged cougar the equipment manager of a high school football team.

Monday the Executive Board of the Boy Scouts of America removed the restriction on openly gay adult scout leaders. The vote on the resolution was announced by former Defense Secretary and National President of the Boy Scouts, Robert Gates. The resolution is effective immediately. (PDF)

"Chartered organizations can continue to select their adult leaders and religious chartered organizations may continue to use religious beliefs as criteria for selecting adult leaders, including matters of sexuality. This change also respects the right of religious chartered organizations to choose adult volunteer leaders whose beliefs are consistent with their own...."

But as predicable as the sunrise, the Human Rights Campaign, who are not a human rights organization at all but just another pushy gay rights activist group dressed in suits, expressed their concern that churches (who sponsor a large amount of scout troops) are still open to discriminate (?) against openly gay men who like to spend time with boys.

Look, you can have your gay scoutmasters and you can sponsor your own little fairy scout troops now. You can wear pink kerchiefs, dance limp wristed around the campfire in your underwear and give out merit badges for flower arranging and  knowledge of show tunes if you want.

But given homosexual tendencies, most thinking people know giving a gay man charge of groups of impressionable young boys is like making a horny middle-aged cougar the equipment manager for a high school football team! Things are gonna happen that shouldn't happen, and any sensible person knows so.  Scouting is about building minds and character in youth, not about pairing off in the bushes at scout camp.

It's never really about tolerance is it, it's always about mandating voluntary acceptance of an agenda.  But ladies, in this case it ain't happening. 

How to Spot a Political Charlatan

When I first started this blog I posted an essay by the Political Professor on how to spot a charlatan because of one particular TV and Radio personality of the time. I think it's timely, and in need of a revisit:

We live in an age of charlatans. Lots of people claiming special knowledge and insight about how the world works offer us solutions to our problems or desires. While there is nothing new about charlatanism, the internet, twitter, and the 24 hour news media offer seemingly endless new opportunities for charlatans to ply their trade.

On the theory that many might want to be able to identify charlatans when one sees them (or perhaps become one oneself), I thought I’d offer a quick, 5 point guide for determining charlatanism for oneself. Not all these criteria may be present in every charlatan, and many people will have one or more of these traits without being a charlatan. But if someone has most of these, you should be pretty sure they’re a charlatan.

First, be incredibly sincere. Nothing sells like the appearance that you are simply explaining the truth and offering things for others because it is important to you to do so. Profess your truthfulness. Sincerity matters.

Second, be obviously passionate. Wear your intensity on your sleeve. Bleed your passion from your pores. Make it clear that what you are saying/selling is coming from you as a compulsion. You are a missionary for your story. Passion mixed with sincerity will encourage others to believe.

Third, be simple. Describe the issues/problems you are working with in plain, easy to grasp terms. And offer simple, straightforward, apparently commonsensical answers through which people can imagine overcoming the issues and problems in their lives. Complexity is a turnoff. Sincerity and passion will combine with simplicity to make it easy for your audience to enter into your way of thinking about things.

Fourth, demonize your opponents. Make it clear that those who disagree with you are not just mistaken, they are dangerous. They are either ignorant–they refuse to see the rightness of your simple, passionate, sincere point of view–or they are evil: they have an agenda that actively seeks to destroy the commonsensical world view you offer. Nothing breeds togetherness like otherness: construct an other to rally against.

Fifth, be a martyr. Take the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune onto yourself. Publicize how hateful and evil your opponents are for so grossly and unfairly attacking you–but insist that you will stand up to their relentless attacks in the name of the greater good. Martyrdom inspires movements.

The main issues in American politics are mass immigration, demographic change, and the new Culture War against implicit symbols of white identity. A celebrity businessman is now the leading GOP candidate for president only because of his banal truism that illegals from Mexico commit crimes. The overwhelmingly white base of the Republican Party is coping with the brutal reality that European-Americans will be a minority in the country they created. Even the Left is gripped in internecine warfare as an older generation of white progressives grapple with a multicultural monster of its own creation, as minority activists would rather agitate about “white privilege” than suffer through boring speeches about jobs or infrastructure.

Immigrants aren't conservative, because there's nothing in this country for them to conserve. The #cuckservative doesn't get that.

The racial question is at the center of American politics and culture. Every new controversy or scandal simply reveals a new facet of the issue racially conscious whites have been debating for decades.

At a time when the Republican Party ostensibly controls Congress, President Obama is unilaterally enacting racially charged policies on immigration, housing, and law enforcement that will have incalculable consequences for ordinary Americans–and there has been no real resistance from the majority party. The only notable thing the Republican-controlled legislature has done is pass a secret trade agreement that has the effect of enabling more immigration–“the worst bill Congress has ever passed,” in the words of Phyllis Schlafly. On top of all this, Justice John Roberts–appointed by George W. Bush–has cemented the legitimacy of Obamacare.

Conservatives should be steamrolling a lame-duck president. Instead, the GOP might as well not exist. Grassroots Republicans who thought they had retaken the government are confused, angry, and powerless. They worked for Republicans in good faith, but get only scorn and contempt. On at least on one prior occasion I stated my antipathy toward the subject of race and the progressives' incessant calls to talk about race...

Unlike liberals who see what they believe, conservatives tend to believe what we see. We do not see a country in the grip of racial tension, at least not until the charlatans begin to act. I always harken back to my years in Sri Lanka; now, my friends, there was a country ripped open by a genocidal ethnic hatred stirred up by politicians. I saw the same process in Guyana and throughout much of the Caribbean: ordinary people getting along until rabble rousers arrive and drive wedges between them. 

In sum, we have had way too many conversations about race. Let's stop talking about race, stop giving opportunities to those who would divide us.

Let me be blunt: I find that discussions of race quickly get boring, idiotic, inconclusive, and, often, verbally and even physically violent. Race tells you very little if anything about a person and his or her attributes except, perhaps, for some inconsequential physical ones. (Culture is a much more interesting topic, but, progressives don't want to talk about that.) To keep pushing the topic of race can and will force even the most tolerant and open of people (as discussed here, for example) eventually to reach their limit and fight back. The Screws Tighten Around Ma Clinton

Valerie Jarrett, who first put the screws to Hillary Clinton by leaking information about her e-mail problems, appears to be tightening them.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the inspector general of the intelligence community has found that at least four emails from Hillary’s personal account contained information that was classified at the second highest level of secrecy at the time that she sent them. Uh…I mean “at the time that they were sent.” The IG referred the matter to the FBI’s counterintelligence division. The Justice Department first disclosed that the investigation was criminal in nature, but later it inexplicably reversed itself on that point.

This is interesting because of the timing of the Administration's leak to the New York Times, its favorite stenographer, as it came just days after Hillary went out on a limb and committed herself to supporting the Iran nuke deal. The Administration badly needed this support, because of the number of Democrats that Hillary’s support would bring. So giving it was very much like telling the thugs who are holding you hostage where you’ve hidden the money. Once they know, they don’t need you anymore.

The Justice Department has pulled back on calling the investigation “criminal,” but it can always reverse itself again. So Valerie Jarrett has Hillary just where she wants her: Hillary will do and say anything to keep the Administration happy and herself out of jail. For once, she and Bill are playing with guys who play even less nice than they do.

In the end, the Administration can make her go away and insert Joe Biden in her place. Or, it can keep her around and Valerie can have another president on the end of her puppet strings.

Special Ed Schultz Heads Back to the Short Bus

The website Mediaite is reporting MSNBC, NBC News retarded step-sister, is axing everyone's favorite angry white guy, the screaming crazy uncle, Ed Schultz. "Special Ed", known for comments like Jews were not the real target of the Holocaust, it was about the gays, often pulled better ratings then the pointless effeminate droning of  "Chris Hayes and All In" at 8 PM.  But Hayes is a favorite of MSNBC boss Phil Griffin (yeah, we know what's gonna on there, don't we), while the network head has been trying to get rid of crazy Ed for years.

MSNBC had decided months ago that they would be dumping their liberal hosts in favor of people like NBC's milk toast Chuck Todd and a rehabilitated Brian Williams in order to regain some respectability. *cough*  It's said by some that the MSNBC leadership completely mistreated their poor uninformed liberal audience, and when the audience walked away in mass, the network used the declining ratings as an excuse to blame liberals. (I suspect it was their unemployment ran out and they lost the cable service).

The only hosts that seem to not be in the target at the network are some guy named Joe Scarborough and the gender confused little Ricky Maddow.  Al Sharpton, the network's in-house political philosopher and linguistics expert at "Politics Nation with Al Sharpton" has apparently seen the shining glean of the axe blade and announced his own media watchdogg blog called “The Shift Daily”, which he may come to regret the choice of name. (Stay tuned for some hilarity coming from that site). 

Hit hardest by the move to remove Special Ed was Presidential Candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders, who blasted MSNBC in a statement for canceling Schultz and removing one of the few voices who would give the nutty fucker a place to vent his socialist nonsense on television:

"I am very disappointed that Comcast chose to remove Ed Schultz from its lineup. We need more people who talk about the real issues facing our country, not fewer.

At a time when a handful of large, multi-national corporations own our major media outlets, I hope they will allow voices to be heard from those who dissent from the corporate media agenda bla bla bla...."

I alway thought Ed missed his calling as a used car salesman.  

And the crazy train whistle echoes in the distance.....
